Welcome to the 9th year of the Thornhill Masters Aquatic Club.

When the Thornhill Masters Aquatic Club started in September 2004, it was a small club swimming out of 3 lanes of the Thornlea pool, hoping to survive. With 2 workouts a week, the club set out to get members and make it through the first year. Since that time, the club has not only survived, but has exceeded all expectations. The growth of the club has been steady and continuous, adding 10% to 15% to its membership each year, adding pool space and time, and of course each and every year, performance in the pool has improved.

In 2010, after a great deal of negotiation, the club gained access to the North Thornhill Community Center, giving the club not only its second pool, but also expanding the geographical reach of the club. The result being the largest increase in membership in the history of the club, and also resulted in a 6th place finish at the 2011 Ontario Masters Swimming Championships, the clubs best ever finish.

The upcoming swim season is shaping up to be one of the best for the Thornhill Masters Aquatic Club with many great events to look forward to including our very own invitation swim meet in May and the National swim championchips being held close to home.  It is going to be a great season.
